‘Kesari’ casting ‘Super Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar and cute Parineeti Chopra is already ‘talk of the town’. The movie is set to release on colourful festival ‘Holi’  on 21st March. The stage is set with the entire buzz going around. The movie based on historical truth a brave war fought by Sikh soldiers, ‘The Battle of Saragarhi’.

The story dawns in the year 1897 when the British Empire have already covered most of the India and were trying to intrude Afghanistan. ‘Kesari’ is the journey of  21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment, who fought bravely against 10,000 Afghanis in the 1890s till their last breath. These courageous Sikhs never gave up. They stood like wall against the Afghans. Akshay Kumar portrays the character of soldier Ishar Singh, who prefers to live by his community rules. Due to his unruly behaviour he was sent to Saragarhi where 20 undisciplined Sikh soldiers were posted. The story takes an interesting turn when these soldiers have to face Afghans.

The actor is doing his best to promote the movie. He feels Indians are not aware about the heroic battle of Saragahi. He also insisted, the people should watch this movie with their kids. The movie will lend an historical insight to our future generation. He  believes, youth of the country must be aware about the real sacrifices made by those soldiers. Recently, Akshay posted a small clip from emotional and patriotic song ‘Teri Mitti’ on Instagram portraying his favourite line “Ho maayi meri kya fikar tujhe, Kyun ankh se dariya behta hai, Tu kehti thi tera chaand hoon main,Aur chand hamesha rehta hai” and asked his fans to share their favourite ones. This is surely interesting.

We salute the heroes from the battle of Saragahi and wish this movie create wonders.
