Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor to direct Sharabi a dark comedy

After two months of his last film Kedarnath an ambitious love story based on the Uttrakhand natural calamity, the director Abhishek Kapoor is all set to take his next venture. As per reports, he has picked up a film called Sharabi, which is a dark comedy. This will end his image of drama king director to comedy dealing with the subject of a dysfunctional alcoholic. As per reports, the film will be produced by him and his wife Pragya Kapoor. Talking about the film, he said he is still busy giving final touches to the script. On the face of it, what we can make out is that the film will be a 2020 release and will be made at the lighter comedy tone moving around the life of an alcoholic.

His last film gave the debut to Sara Ali Khan in B Town, and he has also launched a number of actors in B Town like Prachi Desai and MS Dhoni actor Sushant Singh Rajput. His wife also gave an idea that one would be catching up new faces in the upcoming venture as well. Talking about it she said that bringing out new talents have also given strengths to them. You get originality with fresh talent that includes both the technical department adding creativity as well.

She gave an example of Sara Ali Khan and said that go and ask her about her experience working in her debut film. Talking about Kedarnath, she said that the film was difficult in many ways at different levels. Shooting at mountains have their own challenges that soar the budget at the other end since you do not want to compromise on the quality thing. She then said that her husband just wants to make new and more films in his coming times. This is just the start for him.
