Yesterday, on the 23rd of February, Kartik Aaryan posted a picture on his Instagram handle. The picture was of the actor attending a cancer prevention awareness drive ‘Nidarr Hamesha’ at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. On the same day itself, Kartik Aaryan’s film Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety was released four years ago. Curating all these, Karthik wrote, “Couldn’t ask for a better 4 year anniversary for #SonuKeTituKiSweety. Overwhelmed to have spent time with these Strong souls #CancerSurvivors .”

A while after the post, the actor posted another video in which he mentioned the crucial time of his life. Kartik revealed that four years back during the time of his big film, his mother Mala Tiwari was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. At the event, the actor got emotional as he opened up about this challenging phase and said that it was an emotional time for all of them. He said, “It was a very emotional time for all of us, but I am so proud of my mom that she conquered this disease.”
Kartik wrote, From going for chemotherapy sessions during the shoot of these songs to now dancing on stage on the same- The journey has been arduous! But her Positivity, Fortitude and Fearlessness kept us going. Today I can proudly say: My Mom fought the battle against cancer and WON. And for that, we are all stronger.
I am so so proud of you Mummy and I pay my respects to all the people who could not make it and to all the people who have shown courage fighting this disease ♥️??”
