Kartik Aaryan starrer Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is titled ‘Shehzada’

Kartik Aaryan is all set to play the titular role in the upcoming remake of Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The actor will step into superstar Allu Arju’s shoes.

The film has been titled Shehzada. Interestingly legendary actor Rajesh Khanna and Raakhee Gulzar’s 1972 released film also titled as Shehzada.

Kartik Aryan has gaind a huge popularity in the past few years. Giving back to back good films he had beecome the top priority of the filmmakers.

“He has almost as many hits as Rajesh Khanna. Like Khanna, Aaryan is popular across the age-board. Kids and grandmothers love him. And since the two generations bracketing the family love him the others have no choice,” says a veteran producer who is keen on signing Kartik was quoted SpotBoyE as saying.

Allu Arjun’s film released in January 2020 and became a blockbuster. The remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, will be directed by Rohit Dhawan — David Dhawan’s elder son.

Rohit last directed Dishoom starring his brother Varun Dhawan.

The daily also quoted a source as saying, “The producers of Shehzada paid a staggering Rs 9 crore for the remake rights. Allu Arjun who starred in the original may also make a guest appearance in Shehzada.”

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is working on multiple projects including, Satyanarayan Ki Katha (with a new name), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kiara Advani. He also has Dhamaaka ready to release.

Recently the actor was spoted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office. Deepika Podukone was also there which made everyone wonder if there’s a new film on cards.
