Kareena Kapoor Khan Jokingly Responds She’s ‘Struggling’ Over Being Paid Rs. 10-15 Crores

Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of the most popular actresses in B-town, is widely recognized as one of the highest-paid actresses in the Hindi film industry. It is reported that she earns approximately Rs. 10 to 15 crores per film, a significant sum for an Indian actress. However, despite her success, the pay gap between male and female actors remains a prevalent issue in Bollywood. Nevertheless, Kareena is poised to become one of the biggest superstars of her generation. In a recent interview, she discussed her remuneration and the factors that influence her choice of films.
Speaking to Week, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about her journey in the industry and addressed the topic of her current remuneration. When asked about being one of the highest-paid actresses in B-town, she responded, “I hope so! I want that! I think it is not about my acting… the films I choose are not about money. It has always been about whether I like the role or not. I might do a film for less if I find the role appealing. It depends on my mood, the film itself, and the role it offers. I am at a stage where I believe I can deliver. “Despite her stardom and wealth, Kareena jokingly mentioned that she continues to reside in her “husband’s house,” referring to Saif Ali Khan. She quipped, “Of course, if it is a big-ticket commercial film, then maybe whatever you say is less! This is my husband’s house!
