With gaining hugely from his latest film Good Newwz just at the end of 2019, he seems to have sighed amount of relief. The reasons are obvious as we see most of his films doing a meager business. With the debacle of Kalank at the box office which was a huge budget film, and Student of Year 2 also not doing well to join the show. Now, we hear that the filmmaker – Karan Johar seems to be in loss, hence he is thinking of limiting his budge for his future films.
As per reports, Takht that remains his most ambitious movie in the B Town was supposed to be made at a huge budget. However, the sources close to Karan Johar revealed that he is in the mood to slash down the budget for Takht. Also, he has a couple of other projects as well in 2020, which include the Kartik Aaryan starrer film Dostana 2 that talks about the lighthearted look at a gay relationship. Also, he has other big-budget film lined up to release this year called Bramhastra.
The film is also a big-budget movie as it involves a huge amount of VFX and special effects. The film is known to have an ensemble star cast having Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt. All these star remain the highest-paid actors in Tinsel Town. This has raised the budget of the film in a big way. Thus considering the budget constraints, Karan Johar seems to have slashed down the budget on the production cost. This certainly includes Takht to be made with a huge amount.
