Ranbir Kapoor is the new transforming genius in Bollywood. If you are yet to wake up from his unbelievable transformation for Sanju character in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic then you are just half way through it because Yash Raj’s next film will see him in a complete different transformer. Ranbir Kapoor will now be seen in first time in a high voltage action role of dacait for Yash Raj Films Shamshera. The makers have shown the first look of this film and Ranbir Kapoor looks unbelievable. He will be working with the production house after a gap of nine years. His last movie with Yash Raj Films was Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year. Karan Malhotra is directing the film. His last two movies was Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath remake (which was a Super Hit at Box Office and took record breaking opening of 22 Crores at that time) and Akshay Kumar’s Brothers (though movie was flopped at Box Office despite some world class action).
According to Ranbir Kapoor, “Karan Malhotra is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge. Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me”.
Shamshera will go on floors by the December 2018 and shooting might finish within June 2019. Ranbir Kapoor, whose next movie Sanjay Dutt’s Biopic Sanju is creating a huge hype among trade and media one can expect his future lineup is also very strong at the moment.
