Kapoor & Sons Box Office Prediction

kapoorandsons box office prediction

After a much quick fire promotions, the film Kapoor & Sons Since 1921 is finally hitting the theatres today. The film seems to have followed the strategy of contained but aggressive promotions timelines as a result of which seems to last one month has seen the Dharma Productions Film being seen everywhere.  The lead characters of the film like Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan left no stone unturned to be at every major town to ensure the film is being announced well. Also, the music composed for the film in the form of Kar Gayi Chull and the other songs too are gearing up at the chartbuster especially the former one that has created a positive buzz for the film especially among the youth. Thus right from the youth to the students and people of the elder age groups are the potential audience for the film.

The movie should therefore is going to have a decent opening at the box office, which will touch around 40 to 50 percent especially in all the major cities and their multiplexes. Mind it, the film has no competition with it, which is directed by Shakun Batra neither from the previous week or the ones releasing this Friday as well. This simply means the film has certainly had a wide stage open to perform over the box office. It simply still boils to the actual content of the movie and if that works find, the film has to hold it well during the weekdays as well.

All the other movies releasing on this Friday including Cute Kameena, Mumbai Central and Dare You, are among the low budget films, which are not way in race with Kapoor & Sons. As per the current buzz, and the trade pundits, the film is likely to draw a decent collection on the first day, which can toll to around 7-9 crore, which is likely to go in the coming first weekend though it may be hampered to some extent considering the India-Pak T 20 Match scheduled this Saturday.
