As soon as the poster was unveiled, revelations started coming up that the poster bears an uncanny resemblance to the poster of the Australian gothic thriller, titled, The Nightingale.

With the poster of the web show Bhram in release, starring Kalki Koechlin, it has transformed into being the focus of controversy. The poster bears quite a similar resemblance to a poster of the Australian gothic thriller, The Nightingale.

As per an anonymous Instagram account’s post, Dietsabya called out the similarity on the same and shared a few snapshots of the similar posters from both the series- The Nightingale and Bhram.

Posing similarity, The Nightingale poster features the tense face of the film’s heroine Aisling Franciosi, as a blackbird flies past her, partially covering the face. Similarly, the Bhram poster also features Kalki’s face reflecting a similar expression, with a blackbird flying face and partially covering her face.

The account that marked the similarity, captioned it: “We spot a ‘cheel’ (eagle) but think it is a ‘kauwa’ (crow).”

As far as Bhram is concerned, it has been written by K. Hari Kumar and directed by Sangeeth Sivan. The series will be streaming in an eight-episode web series form on the streaming giant ZEE5 from September. The series also stars Chandan Roy Sanyal. The series is supposed to be a psychological thriller, which will be set in Shimla.

However, The Nightingale, has been directed by Jennifer Kent and is set in the premises of year 1825 in the British penal colony of Van Diemen’s Land. The plot of the film follows a young convicted woman looking for revenge against a terrible violence committed against her family. It stars Aisling Franciosi with Sam Claflin, Baykali Ganambarr, and Damon Herriman. The film was released in August 2019.
