Wiki – Kabir Khan is an Indian film director, cinematographer and screenwriter of certain Bollywood movies and documentaries. He was born in the year 1971 and known as producing different movies, some of his notable movies include Ek Tha Tiger in 2012. He hails from Delhi wherein he did his graduation from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, while he started his carrier as film cinematographer for a couple of documentary films including the first one Beyond The Himalayas, which was aired over Discovery Channel and directed by Gautam Ghose. However, his first documentary film as director included The Forgotten Army, which is based on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj covering him and his life. In the year 2001, Kabir Khan embarked with another brilliant work in Documentary films including “The Titanic Sinks in Kabul” and “Taliban years and beyond”.

Bio – He then entered into Bollywood films wherein he directed Kabul Express, which is considered to be his first Hindi film appearing in 2006. Later he did other movie called New York in 2009 with John Abraham and Katrina Kaif that turned a big hit. His next movie was Ek Tha Tiger with Salman and Katrina in 2012 releasing on the Independence Day. It turned out a big hit not only in India but over the international destinations as well and thus become the second highest grossing movie in the history of Indian Cinema. The movie broke all the previous records in India and turned out a big successful movie of Kabir Khan. Currently Khan is seen busy working on his next project called Next with Salman, Saif and Katrina produced by Sajid Nadiawala. This is his first movie with Saif while third with Kartina Kaif.

As far as his family life is concerned he is married to popular TV show host Mini Mathur and has son Vivaan and daughter Saira. He is known a director with journalistic knack and style by his critics. As per the business experts, though he has moved out from his original style of directing now but still the charm of the past has its own gleam. He also writes in English, one of his important piece on making films on Muslims and Muslim Stereotypes has appeared in Indian Express under the heading Identity Proof in 2009.
