Jersey managed to experience a spike in numbers and collected 5.75 crores on its second day after earning 3.75 crores on its first day. Now, ideally, these should have Friday numbers at the very least, but what has occurred has happened, and what counts now is whether growth can be shown on a daily basis. In truth, given Friday’s low numbers, Saturday’s figures should have been considerably higher, but it’s still preferable to see additional numbers pouring in rather than the graph remaining flat.
The film’s two-day total has now reached 9.50 crores, and those involved in it are expecting for at least a comparable increase today, or at the very least 8.50-9 crores. Given that this is largely a multiplex film and that family audiences do go out on Sundays, it’s a possibility, so fingers crossed. Even if the weekend statistics fall short of the 20 crore level, the closer they get to that figure, the better for Jersey.
However, when Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 come on Friday, the film will be put to the test once more. Then there’s KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi), which isn’t going anywhere, and RRR (Hindi), which is making an impression to a lesser level. As a result, Jersey faces a difficult assignment.
Jersey stars Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in the lead roles. The film is the remake of Tamil film of the same name which starred Nani in the lead role.
