‘Jugni’ Singer Sonu Thukral Files Police Complaint Over AI-Edited Jacqueline Fernandez Video

Singer Sonu Thukral has approached law enforcement authorities after a viral controversy erupted over his latest music video, ‘Jugni’, featuring actress Jacqueline Fernandez. The singer alleges that a widely circulated clip depicting an apparent wardrobe malfunction involving Fernandez is a fake video created using artificial intelligence (AI).
Sonu, who lent his voice to ‘Jugni’ alongside B Praak, formally filed a cybercrime complaint regarding the manipulated footage. Taking to Instagram, the singer shared a photograph holding a copy of his official police report alongside a police officer. In the caption, Sonu clarified that the objectionable scenes were maliciously generated using AI tools and promised to address the matter publicly in detail soon.
The incident has sparked widespread concern online, with fans and social media users demanding a thorough investigation into the deepfake edit and calling for strict action against those responsible for creating and distributing the footage. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez and the production team associated with the music video have not yet issued an official statement regarding the situation.
