Meenakshi is originally known as Pinky Sarkar who was born on 6th August 1988 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She was born in Calcutta and Brought up in South India. She did her schooling and college from South Indian cities like Chennai and Hyderabad and wanted to be an actress. She was lucky enough to get her first break in Telugu Film Industry with two movies called Karuppusamy Kuththagaithaarar in the year 2007 where she played the role called Raasathi the first-year medical student.
She then got the chance to do another film called Hanumanthu the same year. Since then it was no looking back for the actress as she got a number of South Indian films like the Tamil including Sri Satyanarayana Swamy, Perumal, TN 07 AL 4777, Rajadhi Raja, Thoranai, Mandhira Punnagai, Agam Puram, Thuppakki, Vellaikaara Durai, Naanum Rowdydhaan, Sowkarpettai, Thirunaal, Ner Mugam, and Aangila Padam to name a few.
In the year 2010 with films like Agum Puram, she took a break from films and started pursuing for her Master’s in Business Administration or MBA degree. Also, her father was not well, hence she wanted to spend some time with him as well as taking care of him a lot. She then continued her career in films making her comeback in 2012 with the film Thuppakki in a cameo and since then it was no looking back for the actress.
