I wanted to collaborate with Nikkhil again after Batla House,” he remarked. He acknowledged that while the film was presented entertainingly, the heavy subject matter might deter some viewers. “If people aren’t interested in watching films with heavy subjects, that’s their choice. I respect it, but the subject must be addressed,” he added.
Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa tackles the sensitive issue of rape and its aftermath, drawing inspiration from real-life cases to highlight the crime’s pervasive nature. Despite its commercial failure, Abraham remains optimistic about the film’s significance. He stated, “I’m very proud that we made a very good film. This is possibly Nikkhil and my best work together.” While he admitted that disappointment often accompanies a film’s poor box office performance, he feels confident about Vedaa’s execution, praising the cast and crew for their contributions.
