Jhootha Kahin ka and Family of Thakurganj 1st Weekend box office collection
This Friday the B Town witnessed something unusual that released two films of the same actor – Jimmy Shergil – Jhootha Kahin ka and Family of Thakurganj. Both the films had different roles but the matter of fact is both the film gave a dismal performance at the box office. Now, days passed, the film failed to get a pickup at the box office. Let’s talk about Jhoota Kahin Ka with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Jimmy again. The film managed to get 50 lakhs on the first day.
The second day it had a similar collection, while Sunday again was no different giving a dismal figure at the box office. As per reports, the 1st-weekend box office collection went to around 1.75 Crores, which is a bad figure in terms of collection. The same was the story of the other film Family Of Thakungaj as it scored lesser to its rival movie Jhootha Kahin ka. Looking at the first-day collection of Family of Thakurganj it could only garner 20 lakhs, which is really low.
However, the first weekend had some amount of escalation but it did not impress anyone. As per reports, the collection went like this – 20 lakhs on the first day, 50 lakhs on the second day (Saturday) and Sunday was 70 lakhs. So, with these collections, the 1st-weekend box office collection for Family of Thakurganj tolled to around 1.40 Crores, which is again a disappointing figure at the box office. All thanks to the other film The Lion King, which remained the star attraction for the kids and adults alike. Both the films would remain similar at the box office during the weekdays as well.
