Recently on 3rd March, Ranveer Singh revealed the release date of his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar under the Yash Raj Films banner. The actor took to social media to announce the film’s release date, and he did so in a fun video. The film, directed by Divyang Thakkar, will be released in theatres on 13th May 2022. Well, apart from this a source close to the development has recently informed that Ranveer Singh will be seen portraying a superhero character in the film.
A source in the know informs, “Ranveer Singh plays a feeble frail Gujarati man who overnight acquires super-hero powers. It is like the Malayalam blockbuster Minnal Murali in concept, but designed as a comedy.”
Just a day ago another source had informed that the film is said to be a comic book series. The source said, “In Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Divyang and co-producer Maneesh Sharma have created an intelligent, sharp-witted, and an underdog of a hero. The more Adi saw the material, the more he was convinced that the lead character has enduring value. He felt Jayeshbhai has the potential to appeal to a wide audience, especially kids. So, they are planning to turn it into a comic book series”.
For the unversed, Shalini Pandey is making her Bollywood debut with Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Ranveer will be seen playing a Gujarati businessman in the film. Story-based in Gujrat, the film is a humorous entertainer which is directed by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar.
