It was a big day for Alaya F as she got her debut film hitting today with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the lead role. The film bagged decent reviews and it did create a good buzz amidst the media. The film seems to enjoy a positive reception from the audience and critics if we talk about the day one of its release in the media. The film as expected had a slow start with occupancy in the morning a bit low reaching 15 to 20 percent. However, since afternoon, it did witness soaring.
This went up higher and better way in the evening and night shows reaching to around 60 to 70 percent. The film had a decent response at the multiplexes when compared to the single screens, all thanks to the stylish and cool kind of content and the story of the movie. So, with such a buzz, the 1st-day box office for Jawaani Jaaneman went to around 3.5 Crores, which is an okay figure for the makers.
The experts feel that the film would maintain the momentum and soar in terms of collections in the coming days particularly in the first weekend. The trade pundits feel that the film would collect around 18 to 20 Crores during the first weekend. Well, let’s see how things would move, but at the moment looking at the overall picture on day one, things are that rosy as expected by the makers to celebrate the day one box office collection. Also, the higher star value should be able to garner the word of mouth buzz for the film in the first weekend.
