Jaundya Na Balasaheb Movie Review

Jaudya Na Balasaheb

Rating : ★★

The M Town has two releases which certainly include the film Jaudya Na Balasaheb. The film is directed by Girish Kulkarni while it is produced by a slew of people including the music composers Ajay-Atul while it has an interesting star cast. These include the producer himself called Girish Kulkarni, Sai Tamhankar, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Mohan Joshi, Manava Naik, Reema, Srikant Yadav, Bhau Kadam, Savita Prabhune and Kishore Chaugule in the lead and supporting roles. The music comes from the talented music duo directors – Ajay and Atul, while the film falls under the comedy and political satire.  Well, let’s check the crux of the film as under:

Jaundya Na Balasaheb Plot :

We have a man in this film called Balasaheb played by Girish who is depressed and agitated. He hails from a political party but is ailed with different menaces. He sees the doctor and he is prescribed with medicines that is meant to manage the heart break since the real reason of his frustration is the wedding being called off at the very last stage wreaking havoc in his life. Its been two years since this incident took place in this life but he is still under this garb of depression and other things. So, what happens the next is interesting to catch in the film.

Jaundya Na Balasaheb Review

We have been k knowing Girish Kulkarni since long as an ace writer and good actor but with his debut directorial venture in M Town, it is rather difficult to call him with such names for the reasons that he has hailed to deliver at the silver screen, which we have been aspiring to see from him over the film. The film starts with a low pace, which keeps on moving with the snail pace giving the audience enough opportunities to shun their seats and get enough of loo breaks, nevertheless, the movie picks up in the second half. Once the lead actors shuns his depression and stands up in the second half, he ends up adding different flavors to the film of comedy and action in it. The second half of the film becomes interesting and comes up with some uniqueness that makes the film different.

Talking about the star performances a good amount of actors in the film has performed in a decent fashion. One can find several clichés characters being performed effectively by good number of actors in the film. Well, if we talk about Mohan Joshi he has been phenomenal in it.  The other actors too remained par over the silver screen with a decent performance. These include Reema Lagood, Manava Naik and others. Bhau Kadam’s performance too is decent in a big way. Well talking about the direction, it has a number of flaws considering the fact that the film has a debutant director in it. The photography, editing, screenplay and other elements remained okay, which really didn’t give much of the edge to tis entertainment value of the film. However, the director has tried to utilize the power of music in the film by roping in Ajay-Atul the Sairaat fame director in it.

Jaundya Na Balasaheb Last Word

Despite a number of flaws in the film, Jaundya Na Balasaheb can be appealing to certain section of the audience. Yet if you look at the larger picture, it seems to be too much of gloomy for the reason that it has a number of other elements that Girish and Umesh has missed out to include to make a worthy film at the silver screen. In a sense the film had loads of potential but sadly it has kept at the backburners to see things getting messed up. Thus the film doesn’t really deserve much rating except the fact that it can have a lower rating at the end of the day.
