Janhvi Kapoor is overjoyed that her movie, Good Luck Jerry, has finally been released. Jerry’s performance was well-received by the public after she was published. Her calm performance in the film was regularly compared by many of her admirers to that of her late mother Sridevi. Now, in a recent interview, Janhvi explained what helped her and her father, Boney Kapoor, go on after losing their mother, Sridevi. When Sridevi passed away in Dubai in 2018, everyone was in shock and grief.
One of the most well-known female performers in Indian cinema, Sridevi, departed for paradise in February 2018. Her daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, husband Boney Kapoor, and other family members were shocked by her untimely death. When the news of her mother’s passing first broke, Janhvi was preparing for the release of her movie Dhadak. Janhvi recently opened up about what kept her going after losing her mother Sridevi in an interview with The Beer Biceps. She acknowledged that after her mother Sridevi passed away, it was her dad and their shared love of movies that kept them going.
Janhvi mentioned how much her family enjoys movies and what she discovered while working on her mother Sridevi’s movie set “After losing mom, the only thing that’s kept me going and my dad going I think, apart from the love and support from family, is our love for films. Honestly, I don’t think I’d have the will to go through it if I didn’t love what I do so much, in a way that’s almost selfish. I love it so much that…It’s almost keeping me alive.”
