The much awaited movie of Priyanka Chopra Jai Gangaajal has finally hi the theatres today. The film though seemed to had a bit of buzz in the media but it opened in an average note. The morning show occupancy tolled to around 10 to 15 percent, which escalated in the evening giving a decent surge in the coming times especially in the multiplexes. As expected, the movie had a good start in the UP and central India circuits.
The film had acquired around 2600 screens, and as per reports, the first day box office collection tolled to around 5 crores. Now the collection for the first weekend for the film would purely depend upon the kind of word of mouth JG has. As per the experts, the collection in the first weekend is likely to soar as there are no other major releases found in the theatres. The other film Zuban seems to have low buzz in the media and obviously it has less number of screens in the film/
So, talking about Zubaan, the film though had better reviews as compared to the Prakash Jha film, yet it failed to enjoy the kind of buzz for the film. This is for the reason that it has low star value and the kind of promotion the film has in the media too is dull. All these factors have hampered the film’s collection and rest damage was due to the competition seen today. As per reports, the first day box office collection tolled to around 1.5 crores, which as per the expert is likely to soar to some extent in the first weekend.
