The COVID 19 virus seems to have struck the world. Every other industry seems to be in trouble with the lockdown and so is the case of Bollywood. It’s been one and half months since the lockdown came into effect, but the situation has not yet improved as the cases kept on increasing every passing day. This has hit the entertainment industry hard as the cinema halls are closed and are likely to remain affected for a few more weeks to come. At such junctures, the OTT platforms come as a ray of hope for the makers of B Town movies.
We now hear stories how the OTT platform owners are approaching the film producers to release their movie. As per rumors, the makers of the Salman Khan starrer film Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai too were keen on releasing their film at one of the OTT platforms. The manager of Salman Khan was seen saying that if the makers will get a direct offer from any OTT platform of 250 Crores then they are ready to release their film digitally.
However, when Jordy Patel the manager of Salman was asked about it, he denied saying that he has not talked about any figure. He clarified saying that the makers could think of releasing the film at any OTT platform once they evaluate the current conditions. He further said that the amount would be quoted later when they finally make their minds to release the film digitally. He concluded saying that it is the situation which will decide the fate of its release.
