For Salman Khan, Eid remains the most awaited festivals as he has his release every year. Ever since 2014, he has not missed a single year to release his film and most of the times, his films have done well at the box office during the eve of this festival. This year he has Bharat that has Katrina Kaif in the lead roles apart from actors like Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Tabu in the lead roles. The film is directed by the Sultan fame director Ali Abbas Zafar.
The film spans the life of the actor playing the character called Bharat for 70 years of storytelling and considering the same many questions, is Bharat the lengthiest films in the actor’s career. The answer is no as the director clearly indicated that the film’s running time would be around 155 minutes, which is around two hours and 35 minutes. This is shorter than his earlier film Sultan that has running time of 2 hours and 50 minutes, while Bajrangi Bhaaijan will be clocking around 2 hours 43 minutes.
As per the director, the makers have worked hard to keep the length appropriate. As per the trade experts, that the lengthy films are likely to falter at the box office. It inflates the risk of having hampered box office collection. They claim that the audience today have no patience to sit that long to watch a film hence the makers have made sure to reduce the running time. This will give more number of shows on the screens this Eid. Except Tubelight and Race 3, every film releasing during the eve of Eid has done better at the box office.
