Blackbuck Case Haunts Saif, Sonali, Tabu & others as Rajasthan HC challenges their acquittal

Black buckpoaching case

In the latest move by the Rajasthan High Court, the actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Dushyant Singh and Neelam seems to be in trouble as the high court has questioned their acquittal by the CJM Court. The High Court then indicated that the hearing would take place in the next eight weeks. This has come after the seven months of the acquittal of the actors by the said court on the basis of the lack of evidence.

The actors and others were seen killing two blackbucks in Jodhpur, which was carried out during the shooting of the Sooraj Barjatia film – Hum Saath Saath Hai. It was in 1998 when these actors along with Salman Khan were booked under Section 51 and Section 149 of the IPC. It was the local man called Dushyant Singh who took Salman and other actors in his Gypsy car, but they were acquitted for the lack of evidence.

However, the local community called the Bishnoi Sabha later decided to appeal the court challenging the acquittal of the Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre. Only Salman Khan was acquitted on this as per the Indian Wildlife Act, while others were acquitted. Salman Khan, however, is out on bail on this case. He was behind the bars for one day before he came out on bail for killing the blackbucks. Salman Khan is now gearing up for his next film release called Bharat, while he is also busy shooting for the film Dabangg 3.
