This Friday, you have the solo release, which comes in the form of the Kangana Ranaut and Sunny Deol starrer film called I Love NY. With too many delays the film finally hit the theatres today, despite the unhappiness around the film it finally rolled out today at the limited theatres in India. The filmmakers were banking much on Kangana and her success story, which she has been enjoying since past two successful films. Nevertheless, they have failed to garner the right response and as expected the film seems falling flat on the ground on day one.
As per reports, the film started up with the occupancy report of 5 to 10 percent at most of the multiplexes. The unfamiliar couple in the film really failed to attract the audience towards the theatre. Also, the low promotion of the film too failed to garner any response and similar was the story with most of the reviews as it came negative. Even when Kangana is flying high with her previous two movies, the film seems to be struggling to earn. As per reports, the first day box office collection of I Love NY tolled to around 80 lakhs. It seems to have got tough fight from the south mega budget film Bahubali and even the Hollywood release Minions.
