Huma Qureshi recently impressed everyone with her web debut series ‘Maharani’.
The actress who made her debut with the film Gangs of Wasseypur has come a long
way since then.
She spoke to News Helpline about Maharani, her upcoming film Bell Bottom and
much more on the sidelines of a social event here in Mumbai.
Talking about all the love that she got for Maharani, she said, “I am thankful to
everyone for giving so much love to our show Maharani. I think all the OTT platforms
are coming up with good content these days.”
She further said, “We had never thought we would get so much love for this show.
We knew we were making a good show but we did not know it would get such an
overwhelming response. We all are very happy and now let’s see what season 2 has
in store for the audience.”
What was her mantra during the time of pandemic and lockdown, talking about this
she said, “Last two years have been very difficult for everyone. I have learnt from this
time that you have to invest not only in good things but good people and good
thoughts also. I am working towards that to not only do good work but also achieve a
good state of mind. “
Her film Bell Bottom will be soon released in the theatres, sharing about the film, she
said, “It is a very special film for all of us. It was the first film that was shot in the
middle of a pandemic. We all went with great passion to do something big and I hope
the audience will love the film.”
On the work front, she will be seen in Akshay Kumar’s spy thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ which
is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. She also has a Tamil action thriller ‘Valimai’ directed
by H. Vinoth in her kitty which is still in the post production process.
