Why was Akshay Kumar New Jersey Concert Got Cancelled

Akshay Kumar, the popular Bollywood actor and performer, was scheduled to perform at a concert in New Jersey in September 2021. However, the concert was cancelled due to various reasons. One of the primary reasons for the cancellation of the concert was that the organisers failed to garner support for the show. Perhaps due to  the COVID-19 pandemic, which still haunts public shows. People are still concerned about the safety due to the Covid 19 viruses. They also wanted to avoid any potential legal liabilities that may arise due to the pandemic.

Another reason for the cancellation was the failure of the organizers to obtain the necessary permits and clearances from the local authorities. The concert was to be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, but the organizers had not obtained the required permits and permissions from the city authorities. Moreover, even after cancelling, the actor is yet to announce the same for the given post as under:

Additionally, the concert was mired in controversy due to allegations of links to an alleged Ponzi scheme. The organizers of the event, Showtime Entertainment LLC, were accused of being involved in a $300 million Ponzi scheme, and the concert was seen as an attempt to cover up their fraudulent activities. This led to protests and calls for the cancellation of the concert by various groups, including the Federation of Indian Associations.

In light of all these factors, the organizers decided to cancel the concert, disappointing thousands of fans who were eagerly looking forward to seeing Akshay Kumar perform live in New Jersey. However, given the circumstances and concerns surrounding the event, it was the right decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
