Guddu Rangeela starring Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari is a comedy drama, which hit last Friday. The film had a slow start, however, it managed to do a decent business at the end of the first week. Considering the low budget film, the film somehow managed to get away from the tag of flop over the box office. By starting with 1.51 crores on the firday day, the fill went on do slightly higher figure of 1.96 crores on Saturday followed by 2.35 crores on Sunday. Together the figure tolled to around 5.82 crores. However, the weekdays for the film dropped till it completed its first week.
As per reports, the 1st Week Box Office Collection for Guddu Rangeela tolled to around 9 crores, which is actually a decent figure at the end of its first week. The film was inspired somehow by one of the popular case of Manoj-Babli Honor killing case, though the Jolly LLB director Subhash Kapoor who is the director of Guddu Rangeela kept on denying the same. But the fact is this case has been the base of the film for big reasons. In fact, the journalist turned director, Subhash Kapoor picking up real time and popular cases in the film is no surprise for anyone.
