Housefull 5 1st Weekend Box Office Report: The comedy film is coming close to Rs 90 crore mark

Housefull 5 is off to a remarkable beginning, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others. The film opened to impressive numbers and is maintaining its momentum at the box office. On its first Sunday, the movie garnered Rs 32 crore, bringing its total earnings to Rs 87 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film made Rs 24 crore on its opening day, followed by a significant jump on the second day with collections of Rs 31 crore. With an additional Rs 32 crore on the third day, Housefull 5 is now close to hitting the Rs 90 crore mark. If this trend continues, it may even reach Rs 100 crore by Monday.

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the film experienced strong attendance, with an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 39.52%. The turnout steadily increased throughout the day, starting with 17.72% for morning shows, rising to 48.80% in the afternoon, peaking at 54.77% during the evening, and settling at 36.78% for night screenings. These figures underscore the film’s popularity and its ability to attract audiences throughout the day, especially during peak hours, reflecting its growing word-of-mouth appeal.

In a fun twist, Akshay Kumar decided to visit a cinema hall incognito to gather live reactions from fans without revealing his identity. Dressed in baggy jeans, a loose shirt, and the film’s signature ‘Killer Mask’, he interacted with the audience after the screening, seeking their honest opinions. Some fans walked past him without recognizing him, while others enthusiastically shared their feedback. Many praised the film’s comedy, performances, and dance numbers, with several fans specifically appreciating Akshay’s role. A few even commented on how realistic the mask looked, unaware that it was Akshay behind it.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 reintroduces the franchise’s signature fun and madness while adding a fresh twist. This installment features a whodunnit angle and two different climax sequences, promising an engaging experience for audiences.
