Review

The film Gold has many elements to reveal, right from the love for the country and making it pride to showcasing the challenges the sportsman faces while the film comes out. Such stories are difficult to portray but thanks to directors like Reema Kagti who are skilled enough to portray things they want as per the genre’s demand. She is seen going out of the way and while known for her strict guidelines and tempo over the sets, she is able to extract the best from the people working with her. Even Mr. Perfectionist has tough time working with her, but she ensures that she comes out with something really interesting at the floor and Gold is not an exception.

The script of the film by Javed Akhtar has been up to the mark, while the stars playing the key roles particularly Akshay Kumar has done wonders while playing the lead role in it. The others like Mouni Roy who did her debut with this film seemed okay though not impressive but that was expected from. Being a novice at the silver screen and working with big stars like Akki can give her that kind of nervousness is understandable. Nevertheless, she managed to the expected level and so were the others in the star cast list. The other elements like music and song seemed okay and so was the technical aspects like editing, photography and screenplay.

Gold The Last Word

The film Gold happens to be a story that gives the pre and post independence struggle about the people who want to prove their strengths about their country across the world. Nicely portrayed this emotion and backed by decent performances making it a decent watch this I Day.
