Holiday enter in 100 crores club of bollywood box office
Holiday, the movie released two weeks before seems to have crossed the 100 crore mark. Thanks to the star value of Akshay Kumar and story of the movie that was able to garner a good amount of collection for the said movie. The movie has really performed well despite so many movies hitting the theater. Holiday that was released on 6th June had other movies as well; however, it was successful to overshadow the other movies. The very first day collection went to around 10 crore, which is really a decent collection considering the low budget of 40 crore invested in the movie. As per reports it is a remake of a south Indian movie called “Thuppakki”, which was released in the year 2012. The lead role in this movie was played by none other than the action man – Ilayathalapathy Vijay. It was released in around 3,5000 screens all over India along with 400 screens based in the overseas location.
The story dealt in the movie sounds interesting and unique wherein one army officer is responsible in dismantling the terror nexus found in the society. Akshay Kumar who happens to be a rough tough guy was able to play this character nicely, which even turned the wheel of collection machines at the screens leading to a 100 crore mark.
