Bio – Himesh Reshammiya is an Indian music composer, director, singer, actor TV/film producer, script writer, distributor and lyricist. He was born on 23rd July in the year 1973 in Bombay. His father Vipin Reshammiya is seasoned music director, which gave him a tangible music background. He did his schooling from Hill Grange High School wherein he got one of his best friends called Prashant Chadha who was responsible in making him tread the music direction path. This helped him to embark with his first video album Aap Kaa Surroor, which followed several other video albums like Aashiq Banaya, Aksar and Tom, Dick and Harry.
As far as his music and movie career is concerned, he got his first break via his good friend – Salman Khan. The star gave him the first break for his movie called Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya along with Sajid-Wajid and Jatin Lalit. After his several successful music albums, Himesh gave music in several movies of Salman like Yeh Hai Jalwa and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, however, his big hit was considered when he embarked with the movie called Tere Naam in the year 2003. Besides, he was also seen embarking with several music albums called Zara Jhoom Jhoom and Tanhaiyan, which also became a bit hit as well. His music composition followed a smart fusion of Indian classical and western music followed by techno beats. In the year 2010, he was also seen a global level English album called @ Da Edge, which finally is going to be released this year. You can find the album releasing in not less than 122 nations. Himesh was among the first singer of India who got the chance to perform at Wembley Arena and of course at Heineken Hall in Amsterdam in Netherlands.
As far as his acting career is concerned, he was seen his trying his acting feat in his own movie called Aap Ka Suroor, Karz, Khiladi 786 and The Xpose, which is in the stage of post production. He also tried his luck as lyrist, writer, music director and producer of a number of movies. As far as the awards is concerned, Himesh was seen winning the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award in the year 2006 for the movie called Aashiq Banaya Aapne, while was nominated at several places. He then bagged one of the prestigious awards called Phalke Best Supporting Actor Award for the movie Khiladi 786 at the 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards. Besides, he is also seen appearing in different musical shows as judge and other roles.
