The Indian scientist biopic – Hawaizaada continued to do a dull business since its release over the box office. The movie was able to do a meagre 57 lakh business on day one followed by a slight shift in the figures of around 90 lakhs on Saturday and 85 lakhs on Sunday. The total first weekend box office collection tolled to around 2.30 crore, which is certainly not a great figure for the movie. Thanks the negative reviews, the movie was able to garner from a majority of filmmakers not just from the critics but also from the audience, which simply messed up things for the film.
Though performance wise, the actor Ayushmann Khuraana playing the role of the scientist was par, however, it failed to change the fate of the film. Also, the poor promotion of the film came in its way, while the other factors like a bad script and too much competition also went against the movie. The collection for the film seems very much less as compared to Ayushmann Khurrana’s last movie called Bewakoofiyaan. The movie has received average footfalls at the multiplexes while the single screens were simply a washout.
