Karan Johar announced earlier this year that he had become a father to twins via surrogacy, whom he named Yash and Roohi. Born two-and-half months prematurely on February 7, they were taken home on March 29 after being taken care of in the neonatal intensive care unit for seven weeks. Karan was snapped leaving the Hospital in Mumbai along with his kids and that was perhaps the first and the last glimpse we got of his babies.
There was another close-up picture of his children that went viral on internet. It was being said to be taken at the hospital during their birth but no confirmation came from Karan’s side so it was soon discarded as a fake picture. Post that Karan,who is otherwise quite active on social media, didn’t share a single picture of his children except from their nursery, which has been designed by Gauri Khan.
But, we can say that now the wait is finally over as we have our got hands over the first picture of Yash and Roohi. The kids are on the cover page of Hindustan Times Brunch along with their father. Karan is seen embracing both his son and daughter in his hands while the children stare back at you in oblivion. Painted by Sayan Mukherjee, the caricature perfectly brings out the emotion Karan has for his bundle of joys. From what can be seen in the pictures the babies are cute and healthy. One of them, perhaps Roohi, has beautiful olive green eyes.
