Prabhas Fans Attack Arshad Warsi on Instagram After ‘Joker’ Comment; Reddit Labels Them ‘Jobless Duffers’

A Reddit post titled “Prabhas fans on Arshad Warsi’s official Instagram profile calling out slurs and abuses” has gained traction online, highlighting a backlash against Warsi following his recent comments about Prabhas. During an interview with Samdish Bhatia, Arshad made headlines by referring to Prabhas as a ‘joker’ in the context of the film Kalki 2898 AD. This remark has sparked outrage among Prabhas’s fans, who have flooded Arshad’s Instagram comments with messages like “joker Arshad Warsi.” Many fans are also emphasizing that the box office gross of Kalki 2898 AD, which surpassed ₹1000 crore worldwide, far exceeds the total of Arshad’s film earnings.

Reactions on Reddit have varied, with users commenting on the wave of negativity directed at Arshad. One user noted, “In a country where actors, cricketers, and politicians are worshipped, don’t be surprised…” Another agreed, saying, “This was bound to happen. That’s a lot of comments, though.” Some comments criticized the fans, labeling them as “jobless duffers” who need to “get a life.”

Commenters also pointed out that if Arshad had made similar remarks about major stars like Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan, the response would likely be the same. One user remarked, “We live in a culture where celebrities are literally worshipped, so it’s honestly expected.”

In his interview, Arshad expressed disappointment with Prabhas’s portrayal in Kalki 2898 AD, stating, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. I want to see a Mad Max. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand?”

Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, features Prabhas alongside Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and others. The film has performed exceptionally well at the box office and is set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Hindu scriptures, taking place in the year 2898 AD.
