Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

The B Town had two movies to release, which include Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and Genuis. The B Town has something really interesting this passed Friday, but when we talk about the sequel HPBJ, it managed only to get around 2.70 crore on its first day, while on the Second day there was some amount of escalation witnessed as the collection went on to gain 4.03 crore. Similarly, the Sunday had the same kind of buzz in the media and the film managed to score around 6.5 giving a decent figure all together in its first weekend collection. So, as per reports and the total collection, the 1st weekend box office collection for Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi went on to 13.23 crore, which is still an okay figure.Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Trailer

However, for the makers, it was not less than a shock since they have been expecting the sequel of the 2016 prequel to earn big, which had  Abhay Deol, Diana Penty and Ali Fazal. Despite adding the lady Sonakshi Sinha and keeping the star cast similar to the previous one, the makers failed to impress the audience and so the critics as well. The film could only get mixed reviews, which was not expected from them.  Earlier, with the prequel – Happy Bhag Jayegi the laugh riot in the movie was good, but in the sequel it seemed missing.Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi

Despite claiming that it is a part two of the the earlier movie, and it will promise good amount of humor but it seems that the hilarity quotient is low. The Mudassar Aziz-directed film, had this time Sonakshi who played the role of Navpreet Kaur, while she is playing Happy #2 in this film Diana Penty is the same old Harpreet Kaur – Happy #1. We also have Jimmy Sheirgill reprising his old character called Daman Singh while Diana too could be called as returning with an extended cameo in the film as the original happy. Also Ali Fazal is seen with the brief appearance in the film. This is the reason why the audience did not like the sequel and may be this could be the reason why the film failed to grow at the box office.
