This Friday, it was again a solo release called Hamari Adhuri Kahani. The film is produced by the Bhatts and directed by Mohit Suri with Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and R Rajkummar in the lead roles. However, the opening of the film was seen with a slow note having occupancy as 15 percent in the morning shows. The occupancy report saw to some percentage reaching to the figure of around 30 to 40 percent at places like Jaipur and other cities at the north.
As far as the multiplexes based in the urban places, the buzz for the Hollywood flick Jurassic World was widely heard and felt hampering the collection of HAK. In fact, the Hollywood flick has a good buzz among the multiplexes crowd that kept on overshadowing the Vidya Balan film at the box office. The remaining damage was carried out by none other than the Zoya Akhtar’s film – Dil Dhadakne Do, which is enjoying a decent collection at the box office.
As per reports, the first day box office collection for Hamari Adhuri Kahani would toll to around 1.5 to 2 crore as the film has limited number of screens and no pre release buzz in the media. The promotion of the film was weak, which failed to create any word of mouth publicity. The experts are not optimistic about the surge in the coming weekend for the film though there are hopes against the hope from the filmmakers and fans of Vidya.
