With the current ongoing pandemic, many of the film producers have opted for a digital platform to release their films. One of these films include the Gunjan Saxena biopic called Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. The Karan Johar film was supposed to release in the theatres last month. However, the lockdown seems to have hampered the release date of the film. Now, the makers have decided to release the film on the streaming giant called Netflix. And if things go smooth, it will have its release next month.
As per Bollywood Hungama, the makers are gearing up to release the Janhvi Kapoor starrer film on the eve of Independence Day. Since it happens to be a patriotic story, the release date on the eve of I Day can be apt for it. The idea is to pay tribute to the war warriors like Gunjan Saxena who has played a key role in saving lives of many Kargil heros who were injured during the world. The makers are planning to release the trailer in the next ten days.
They also had the option of releasing hte film on 26th July which is celebrated as Kargil Diwas, but considering the fact that the post production work will take a bit longer time, the makers shelved the said date thus pushing it ahead. The film has Pankaj Tripathi in a leading role apart from the diva – Janhvi Kapoor. The film was shot in Lucknow and Gerogia while some paatwork was seen in Mumbai as well. It also gives Sharan Sharma and Karan Johar a debut collaboration with Zee Studio. Stay tuned to know more about the film and others only with us.
