It is reported that the show will be given a 20-year leap and only Kanika Mann (who plays the female lead) and Daljit Saundha (who plays the grandmother) will be retained. Kanika will play her daughter. In this, male lead artist Nishant Malkani is also expected to exit.
Producer Ved Raj told, “This decision has nothing to do with the lock down. We had planned to take a leap before that and start a new track.
“We felt that there was nothing left to explore in the original story of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega. The new storyline looks promising. It is just that the plan could not be executed earlier because everything stopped because of the lock down. “
