Following the news of the suicide of TV actor Manmeet Grewal due to financial crisis, the Hindi television industry has received another setback with the suicide of actress Preksha Mehta. The actress, who appeared in shows like Crime Patrol, Lal Ishq and Meri Durga, committed suicide at her residence in Indore late Monday. According to family members, she was upset about not getting work during the lockdown.
Talking with us, Preksha’s cousin, who lives near her house in Indore, said, “She was a lively girl since childhood, but recently she was very quiet. Last night, the family was playing cards, but Praksha was sitting alone on the stairs of the house. My aunt (Preksha’s mother) also asked her if she was alright, but she said she was fine. “
“At around 10 am Praksha went to her room upstairs and posted a message on her Instagram. The next morning when the aunt went to wake her up for yoga, She found her room closed and called others to help her open the door. Once inside, She found Preksha hanging from the ceiling fan. “
Allegedly, Preksha, who made a career in the entertainment industry, was the first from her family to join the industry. She worked hard and made her dreams come true.
Inspector Rajeev Bhadoria of Hira Nagar Police Station shared, “A one-page suicide note was found in Preksha Mehta’s room, in which she wrote about how she worked hard to stay positive between these times but she could not. “
The note states- “My broken dreams have broken my confidence, I cannot live with dead dreams. It is difficult to live with this negativity. I tried a lot for the last one year. Now I am tired.
