GOAT Box Office Day 3: Vijay’s Film Enters the 100 Crore Club in India
GOAT Box Office Collection on Day 3: The much-anticipated Vijay-starrer, GOAT, made its theatrical debut on Thursday, celebrated with great fanfare. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has successfully crossed the ₹100 crore milestone at the Indian box office. GOAT is characterized as a period science fiction film.
On its opening day, the film grossed ₹44 crore, with contributions of ₹39.15 crore from Tamil, ₹1.85 crore from Hindi, and ₹3 crore from Telugu. Following this, GOAT earned approximately ₹25.5 crore on Friday, broken down into ₹22.75 crore (Tamil), ₹1.4 crore (Hindi), and ₹1.35 crore (Telugu). On Day 3, early estimates indicate a collection of ₹33 crore, with ₹29.1 crore from Tamil, ₹2.15 crore from Hindi, and ₹1.75 crore from Telugu. Cumulatively, GOAT has raked in ₹102.5 crore, with a distribution of ₹91 crore (Tamil), ₹5.4 crore (Hindi), and ₹6.1 crore (Telugu). The film recorded a remarkable 72.58% occupancy in Tamil on Saturday.
The first half of GOAT captivates audiences with its engaging narrative, setting the stage for a surprising interval block. It features a blend of family drama and high-octane action across various global missions leading up to the intermission. Post-interval, the film escalates into an intense confrontation between the characters Gandhi and Sanjay, maintaining a brisk pace throughout. Director Venkat Prabhu showcases his admiration for Vijay, incorporating references to Kollywood classics like Ghilli and Thirumalai, especially evident in the film’s climax.
Vijay’s portrayal as a field agent and spy, who has successfully completed over 65 operations, left fans in awe. The trailer also teases his dual role as a father and son.
