Review

In a single sentence, we can find the film A Gentleman taking up a fresh take on action-comedy, which seems very much unpredictable yet hysterical thrill ride. Well, as you further dig in the film, it has the same old story presented in a very different format all together. The fact of the matter film with such a plot of mistaken identity has been rampant in Bollywood, in terms of uniqueness in the basic plot, the film has nothing new to offer the audience. However, the film scores on the other part as we get to see Sidharth in the main lead with high octave action.

Thus we get to see High-speed car chases amidst the blossoming romance on the other end along with nosy parents trying to find out a groom for their daughter. Just on the other side, we get to see the man with similar face jumping out of a tall buildings to make you feel that James Bond has given a silent nod with his silent approval. You also get to see Sid Malhotra removing his shirt in a boat and a car, and the lady Jacqueline Fernandez shows off some pole moves.

Talking about the performances, Sid has simply nailed it with both of his roles be it the criminal or a gentleman. His high octane action is worth catch, while Jacqueline in her role of Kavya too is impressive though she is only there to add the glam factor, which she has done nicely. The others too remained okay.  The other elements like direction, music, screenplay and editing too remained okay as far as improving and increasing the entertainment value of the film. So, looking at the overall picture, the film has secured higher position, yet it lags behind in some quarters, which have certainly hampered the quality of the movie and so the ratings.

A Gentleman – The Last Word

The film follows a simple work style of a man wherein two different characters are seen getting mixed up. One with simple and gentleman character to the high level criminals, which is the birth of a mistaken identity. However, if you are looking for a plain thrill in this film then it becomes a perfect catch this weekend for you.
