Gayatri Arun is a leading actress in Malayalam serial Parasparam airing on Asianet TV. The actress is known for her strong character of Deepthi, the IPS Officer who achieves her dream despite of many challenges in family life. The character of Deepthi is also a trend setting one as such a strong willed roles are very few on Malayalam Channel. The Malayalam audience is most used to watching female characters as the submissive adapting ladies of the household who keep the family together. The serial is the Malayalam adaptation of the star plus serial Diya Aur Bati Hum. Gayatri plays the Malayalam version of Deepika Singh. Parasparam has other leading actors namely Vivek Gopan as Sooraj, Rekha Ratheesh as Padmavati, Divya Nithin as Sandhya, Sneha as Meenakshi to name a few.
The serial has its adaptations in Tamil, Telugu, Bangla and Kannada.
