Gangubai’s family pounds on Alia Bhatt’s film, show their disagreement ahead to its release

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is just around the corner. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film is all set to get released on 25th February 2022. Ahead of its release, the film has got up again in huge trouble.

Gangubai’s adopted son Babu Raoji Shah and her granddaughter Bharti seem to be not really happy with the film. Now talking to, Babu Raoji Shah communicated his dissatisfaction with the film. He said, “My mother has been turned into a prostitute. People are now saying inexplicable things about my mother.”

Gangubai’s granddaughter Bharti also thrashed at the makers and asserted that they have slandered the family out of the desire for money. She said, “The makers have defamed my family out of greed for money. It cannot be accepted. You did not ask for the family’s consent before going ahead with the project. You did not come to us while writing the book, nor did you seek our permission before making the film. My grandmother has worked for the upliftment of the sex workers there throughout her life. What have these people turned my grandmother into?”

Gangubai’s family lawyer Narendra had also claimed that the family has been hiding and changing homes ever since their identity has come onboard. Narendra revealed that the family’s “mental state is not good”, and that “no one is able to live in peace”.
