Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do take home top honours at the 68th Filmfare Awards in 2023

The 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards, hosted by Salman Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul were held last night, 28 April, at the Jio Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s Badhaai Do were among the big winners.
Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for her portrayal of a sex worker turned brothel owner in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Rajkummar Rao was named Best Actor in a leading role for his performance in Badhaai Do.
Alia Bhatt’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi received ten awards, including Best Actress, Best Film, and Best Director. In the critics category, Sanjay Mishra won the Best Actor Award for his portrayal in Vadh. Bhumi Pednekar and Tabu had to share the Best Actress (Critics) prize for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Badhaai Do.
Gangubai Kathiawadi was also a notable winner in the technical section honours. Best Cinematography, Best Costume, and Best Production Design were all given to the film.
