Allu Arjun to Fly to Japan for Pushpa 2 Japanese Release in January 2026; Pushpa Kunrin to Premiere with 222-Minute Extended Cut

Following the massive success of 2024’s blockbuster Pushpa 2 – The Rule, superstar Allu Arjun is gearing up for a special trip to Japan to promote the film’s upcoming Japanese release. The film, which originally opened with Allu Arjun’s character making a dramatic arrival at a Japanese port hidden inside a container, will officially hit theaters in Japan on January 16, 2026, under the title Pushpa Kunrin.
Geek Pictures, in collaboration with Shochiku, announced the film’s Japanese release and unveiled a vibrant new poster featuring Allu Arjun in his signature flamboyant style—sunglasses, floral shirts, and full swagger. The Japanese-language trailer was also released on YouTube, further fueling excitement among fans.

In a surprising turn, Allu’s manager, Sarath Chandra Naidu, responded directly to one fan’s query, confirming, “Yes, he is,” despite not being tagged in the tweet. This confirmation sparked widespread buzz and anticipation, marking what would likely be Allu Arjun’s first-ever visit to Japan.
But is AA really coming to Japan for the Pushpa event? 🥺 He’d be shooting in Hyderabad in January, right?
If I ask Sarath Chandra Garu, would he actually tell me about it??? 😂— noemi (@noemi73aa) December 12, 2025
Originally, Pushpa 2 – The Rule was released worldwide and in India with a 200-minute runtime.
