From ​Jurassic World Dominion to The Barbarian S2 your weeks OTT watchlist is sorted

With so many genres to select from, the entertainment industry this week will not disappoint those who love international content with all of the fantastic releases that are lined up. There is something for everyone, whether it is an action-packed adventure in the land of dinosaurs, an Egyptian superhero film, a voyage into a mythical fairytale school, or a dismal future planet. Here are the top five releases for the week, as well as where and how to view them.

Jurassic World: Dominion

The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill and follows events after the famous island Isla Nublar collapses. In June of this year, the picture was released internationally and broke box office records by generating $1 billion worldwide!

This ending is a must-see for all Jurassic Park fans, and it’s available exclusively for Prime Video members in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Black Adam

Dwayne Johnson’s highly awaited film, Black Adam, is being released a day early in India. Dwayne portrays an Egyptian deity who has been freed from his tomb and is ready to bring justice to the modern world in his own unique way. On his voyage, he is confronted by Earth’s modern-day heroes, the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone. Dwayne Johnson, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Sarah Shah have significant parts in the film.

​The School for Good & Evil

The School for Good and Evil chronicles the lives of two young girls who are abducted and sent to a school where they are trained to be villains and heroes. Though they are friends, Agatha (Sofia Wylie) and Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) are worlds apart, with one having a dark and scary attitude and the other dreaming of being a storybook princess. Charlize Theron, Jamie Flatters, Kit Young, and Michelle Yeoh also have important parts in the film.

​The Peripheral

The Peripheral, Prime Video’s next original series, is based on science fiction great William Gibson’s novel of the same name. Flynne Fisher (Chlo Grace Moretz), a teenage gamer working a dead-end job at a 3D printing company in rural America in the near future, is the protagonist of the series. Headlining roles are also played by Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, and Alexandra Billings. The first episode will be available on Prime Video on October 21, followed by weekly instalments till December 9.

The Barbarian S2

Season 2 of Netflix’s hit series Barbarian will be released this weekend. The series takes place in 9 A.D., during the Roman conquest of Magna Germania. When oppressed Germanic tribes banded together to resist the rise of the Roman Empire The second season of the programme will maintain the previous season’s six-episode structure and will star Laurence Rupp, Jeanne Goursaud, and David Schütter.
