Friends Reunion Review: Keep your tissues ready because we are all going down the memory lane
Almost 26 years ago a group of six friends entered our life and it never remained the same. We laughed with them we cried with them we started falling in love with them and of course, we learned to PIVOT things with them. They made 10 years of our life amazing leaving us with uncountable years of memories and binge-watching. There is a bit of Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Joey, and Chandler we have within us. With time we have made them one of us as if they are still with us. 17 years ago when Rachel asked to go for coffee for the last time and Chandler said ‘sure but where’ we all sobbed together we all wanted to call them back and to sing ‘I’ll be there for you,’ beside the fountain one last time.
Now after almost 17 years it’s like Santa has finally opened our letter and sent them all once again to the little blue kitchen of Monica. When HBO Max announced a 105-minute Reunion all fans across the world were jumping with joy.
So Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry are back on one couch once again. It was a trip to nostalgia, they took us to the coffee shop aka Central Park and Monica’s apartment. Even Joey and Chandler’s Barca loungers had a segment in the special episode. The near-two-hour was full of laughter and memories.
The show starts with the six of them reading scenes. It was a real treat to see them recalling all those dialogues that all FRIENDS fans must have learned by heart by now. The episode also included a fashion show. Even though over the years FRIENDS has been questioned for many wrong reasons, the show still has a cult following all across the world.
Well, moving towards the show. It was nothing but a reunion of six friends you haven’t seen in 17 years. Watching them aged gracefully, of course, breaks your heart. Somewhere at the back of your mind, you hear Joey whining about growing old.
After watching the show you probably want to grab some coffee and start season one-episode one, ‘THE ONE WHERE MONICA GETS A ROOMMATE’ till you see ‘THE LAST ONE’.
