First weekend collection – Finding Fanny and Creature 3D
Surprisingly Finding Fanny has received a very good start, right from the very first day. It has simply surpassed the expectations over its box office collections beating Creature 3D way back. It is an English film carrying all the Bollywood stars. The total figure for trade at first weekend collection went to around 20 crore. The movie recorded the 16th highest of the current year. The very first day collected 7.05 crore, while Saturday got a somewhere closer figure reaching out to 6.10 crore while Sunday recorded around 7.10 crore. The movie starrer all the bigwigs of Bollywood, including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur. The movie did well in the circuits of Delhi and Mumbai.
On the other hand, the Bips centered movie Creature 3D didn’t go for long as compared to Finding Fanny. Though the movie was meant to attract the young genre, however, it failed to do so, with collection reaching out to around 11 crores in the first weekend. All the three days went to around 3.5 crore as an average. Though it was expected to witness a good momentum however, it didn’t happen. Perhaps the similar story would be repeated the next weekdays till the other two big movies are hitting this Friday, Khoobsurat and Dawat-e-Ishq. At the moment, Finding Fanny has overshadowed Creature 3D.
