After the makers decided the star cast of the Sanjay Dutt Biopic with actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Paresh Rawal in the key role now they have one more remaining for the cast to complete for the same. However, as per latest media reports, speculations are rife that actress Neha Bajpayee, who made her debut in 1998 Bobby Deol starrer Kareeb, will be coming on board to play Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata Dutt.
The 41 year old actress, who married actor Manoj Bajpayee in 2006, was last seen in Suparn Verma’s Acid Factory in the year 2009. While RK plays the titular character, Anushka Sharma, who last paired up with him in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, will be seen in the role of a journalist. His Saawariya costar Sonam Kapoor is on-board to play a love interest from Sanjay Dutt’s younger days. Paresh Rawal will be seen in the role of Sanjay Dutt’s father, yesteryear superstar Sunil Dutt, according to the sources hunt is currently on for an actress to play his mother Nargis.
Before finalising on Paresh Rawal to play legendary Sunil Dutt, Akshaye Khanna was on board but it is reported that after doing look tests, both, Rajkumar Hirani as well as Akshaye Khanna weren’t happy with it and mutually decided to part ways and Paresh Rawal was signed for the same. Earlier Rajkumar Hirani had announced on Twitter about the commencement of the shoot of much awaited biopic. He had tweeted, “First shot taken now for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic. He also revealed that, when Ranbir Kapoor got into the character of Sanjay Dutt, he looked so much like him that not just Hirani, even Sanjay Dutt was surprised.
