First Day Box Office Collection of Crew: Kareena & Kriti’s Venture Sets Sail to gain 8.75 Cr

The heist comedy helmed by director Rajesh A Krishnan and starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon has started off on a positive note. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the film has raked in Rs 8.75 crore at the domestic box office on its opening day. While the comedy, led by three talented female stars, shows promise with its opening day collection, it falls slightly short when compared to Kareena Kapoor’s previous chick flick, Veere Di Wedding, which was co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and featuring Sonam Kapoor among others, Veere Di Wedding had an impressive opening day collection of Rs 10.7 crore. However, it is important to note that Veere Di Wedding was released a few years before the pandemic hit the film industry.

With overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth, no competition from new Bollywood releases, and the added advantage of the holiday season, it is anticipated that Crew will witness a surge in collections on its second day, Saturday. The film revolves around the lives of three women working in the aviation industry, promising a laughter-filled narrative amidst the challenges faced by airlines. However, their journey takes unexpected twists and turns, leading them into a web of deceit and unforeseen circumstances.

In addition to the trio of leading ladies, Crew boasts a stellar cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, who is known for his work in Lootcase, the film guarantees a star-studded ensemble delivering an entertaining performance.

Meanwhile, the film is getting rave reviews from critics and business experts like Taran Adarsh. You need to check his tweet about the film when he reviewed on the microblogging site, have a look as under:
